The 39th Annual César Awards ceremony, presented by the French Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques (Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma), was held on 28 February 2014, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Me, Myself and Mum received ten nominations, Stranger by the Lake and Blue Is the Warmest Colour both received eight nominations each.

PARIS- The 39th Cesar film awards spread the wealth wide, reflecting the breadth and diversity of Gaul's film production landscape.




Scarlett Johansson was on hand to pick up a honorary award from the hands of Quentin Tarantino, whom she thanked for "taking the time to present the (nod) and save (them) from mediocrity" -- a comment which raised some eyebrows among journos sitting in the press room. The 29 year-old said she was looking for work and thanked France for welcoming her as yet another "cultural refugee" from the U.S..
