Hasanlu Tepe is a large, mounded archaeological site in the Azarbaijan Province of northwestern Iran near the southern shore of Lake Urmia. Hasanlu was the focus of excavations carried out by the University of Pennsylvania Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, and the Archaeological Service of Iran from 1956 to 1977 under the general direction of Robert H. Dyson, Jr.
